Only 1.5 hours from Piraeus, Athens by hydrofoil, Hydra with its' cosmopolitan atmosphere, unique status as a national monument, attractive architecture and glittering seas, offers something for everyone.

Preserved much as it was in the 18th Century, there are many cobbled paths and steps that meander between quaint buildings and impressive mansions. There are no cars or mopeds to disturb the peace or to pollute the air, everyone walks to their favourite places. Donkeys are the mode of transport on Hydra making a holiday on the island a real step back in time.
